My name is Amabelle Packouz, a resident of 151 Biscayne! I am offerring my services to look after your little ones when you cannot.

I have experience caring for a variety of animals, as I am a volunteer at M&M Equestrian Farm in Elaine Gordon Enchanted Park. They don't just have horses, but goats, pigs, rabbits, and chickens, too! (Plus a donkey and two cats.)

I look after cats and dogs, of course, but I'm also open to small rodents, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, bugs— I love all animals, including the less "cute" ones.

Just don't give me something huge and wild like an alligator or a panther. That's out of my league.

Rates

  • Check-in Visit:

    30-45 minutes to feed, water, clean, play, etc.

  • 30-minute Walk:
    $10
  • 1-hour Walk:
    $20
  • Extended Visit:

    Visits lasting an hour or more

    $15 per hour
  • Vacation Pet-Sitting:

    3 visits a day

    $30 per day

    Some ground rules:

    Before performing any of my services, I will acquaint myself with your companion first, under your supervision. This is so I can familiarize myself with your animal friend, and and further discuss the detail of their care in-person. This "meet and greet" is completely free!

    I am active from 9AM to 11PM. I am unavailable on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until 6PM, as that's when I work at the farm. But Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the weekend are fully available!*

    *assuming i have nothing else planned on those days

    Your home must be within a 20-minute bike ride of my home. I don't have a car, and it's not feasible for me to bike 2 hours to Fort Lauderdale to look after your companion.

    And before you ask, no, the bus isn't any quicker.

    While I'm sure they make lovely guests, I cannot let any of your animal friends live with me in my unit. My father is terribly allergic to both cats and dogs, so having them in the house with us wouldn't be good for him.

    I am practicing to become an animal trainer, with a focus on clicker training. With your explicit permission, I'd love to have your companion be my training partner while we're together. This sharpens my skills as a trainer and provides enrichment to your friend. This is not charged.
